Program Length: This program normally takes 6-12 months to complete, depending on whether you attend full or part time.

Program Hours: 225 Hours (270 Clock Hours)

Successful graduates will be fully prepared and qualified for positions as Graphic Designers either in a corporate or freelance (self-employed) position. This program introduces the student to the concepts, language and basics of graphic design and then prepares the student to achieve certification in the most popular computer software programs used by the Graphic Design community such as:

1. Adobe Photoshop

2. Adobe Illustrator

3. Adobe InDesign

 

Prerequisites:

Be able to use a computer keyboard and navigate in the Windows or Mac environment.

*Program is not eligible for FAFSA funding. 

Upon completion of the Certificate in Graphic Design program, the graduate will be able to:

  • Create visual concepts, using computer software.
  • Communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers.
  • Select color, images, or logo designs that represent a particular idea or identity to be used in advertising and promotions.
